hello guys! welcome to kem korner!

Hello guys! Welcome to KEM KORNER!

This page, I hope, will help you obtain a deeper understanding and appreciation of basic and not-so-basic chemistry concepts. For those looking for entertainment, there will be bits of that here although I'm not so sure yet how I'll go about this "entertainment" thing. But I assure you that this blog will be filled with links, downloadables and test-yourself questions that will help you, in some way, improve your understanding of the world of chemistry.

Suggestions, contributions and reactions, violent or otherwise, are also welcome... :)

To T3

Hi T3!

I reviewed the solution for Problem 9 and found out that the logical/correct solution was Mr. Cuba's. Final answer is 0.21L 0.46L though.

Please try to solve the problem on your own and see if you get the correct answer. Solve also the 2 other problems similar to 9.

A special shoutout to Mr. Cuba for hitting the nail on the head. Good job! šŸ‘

40-Item Online Test on Energy Metabolism

Hello 2B!

Please read the following instructions before taking the online test.

The test requires a password which will be announced on Tuesday, October 9. You also have to provide your FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, E-MAIL ADDRESS, COURSE/YEAR/SECTION (BSN 2B) before you can access the questions.

The questions I have posted for this test are of 2 types: True or False and Identification. The questions will randomly appear as you click the "next" tab on each page. This means the sequence the questions will follow is unique for each quiz-taker. Make sure you enter the correct spelling of the word/words for questions under the identification type.

You have 30 minutes to finish answering all the questions. Your result will appear after the 40th question is answered. Download and print the Certificate of Achievement (Score Report Certificate) generated by the site at the end of the test. Use a short-sized bond paper, landscape mode, to do this. Submit the certificate to me on our next meeting, Friday, October 12th.

Your score report certificate will look like this:

You are allowed to take the online test only once. You can go back to previously unanswered question/s as long as the 30 minutes is not yet used up. The test will only be available from October 9, Tuesday, 1PM until October 11, Thursday, 11 PM.

Click HERE to start taking the test. Good luck!

Inorganic / Organic Chemistry

To my T1, T2, and T3 classes:

Hello guys! Welcome to kemkorner!

Here you will find links to the laboratory experiment sheets you will be using in your Chemistry class.

Please click the file name to go to the download page (I’m assuming that since you were able to navigate to this site, you know how to click on links and download files šŸ˜).  Seriously though, before anyone attempts to set foot in the laboratory room, make sure that, aside from the other materials you're asked to bring, you carry a hardcopy of the laboratory activity for the day. Remember, NO HARDCOPY, NO EXPERIMENT and you’ll get 60 for the day.

Other reminders:

1. Make use of short-sized bond paper when printing or photocopying the activity sheets.
2. Brief answers to questions are encouraged. Confine your answers to the spaces provided after each question.
3. Write legibly. Maintain cleanliness of your report papers. Use a pen when writing down your answers. A pencil may be used if you're asked to draw or illustrate certain set-ups.
4. Staple together the pages of your report before submitting such to me.

Thank you very much...
