Hello guys! Welcome to KEM KORNER!

This page, I hope, will help you obtain a deeper understanding and appreciation of basic and not-so-basic chemistry concepts. For those looking for entertainment, there will be bits of that here although I'm not so sure yet how I'll go about this "entertainment" thing. But I assure you that this blog will be filled with links, downloadables and test-yourself questions that will help you, in some way, improve your understanding of the world of chemistry.

Suggestions, contributions and reactions, violent or otherwise, are also welcome... :)

Final Exam

Hello guys!

I have posted a 60-item MULTIPLE CHOICE test 👉🏼 here 👈🏼. This test covers the following topics: (1) Detecting Anions, (2) Gravimetric Analysis, and (3) Volumetric Analysis.

Before taking the test, you are required to type in your EMAIL ADDRESS and SECTION FAMILY NAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL (ex. T1 Cabaña, Patricia H.). You have 2 hours to finish and "submit" the test.

The test will be available thrice daily from April 24, Friday to April 26, Sunday. The daily schedule of test-taking will be as follows:

  10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  4:00 - 6:00 PM
  9:00 PM - 11:00 PM

For those who will not be able to take the test on the given schedules, please email me at
👉🏼 mcabana@usi.edu.ph 👈🏼 I will reopen the test once your internet situation has improved. Whenever possible, please ask for a schedule by cluster or group. Let’s say 3 of you who haven’t taken the test may ask for the same schedule for the reopening of the online test.

There are only 3 requirements for this final period. The flowcharts you submitted (which will be credited as final PT), the 60-item long test and this final exam. We were instructed that an INC mark shall be given to students who are unable to comply with the requirements. You will then be given the next semester for completion.

I have again limited the number of test-takers to 125. This number corresponds to the total number of students in T1, T2, and T3 so please do not take the test more than once by entering another email address. You will be depriving others of their test slots.

I will also be posting all your grades online starting next week.

Praying for everyone’s health and safety,

Hello BSMT!

The presentation for Volumetric Analysis is now ready for download 👉 here. 👈  File is in PDF.

I would also recommend that you watch these short video clips just so you will have an idea how Volumetric Analysis / Titration is done.

Have a Blessed Holy Week!
